Completing the Application Form

Students are accepted on a space-available basis throughout the current school year. Applications will not be accepted more than two years in advance of the expected date of entry. The Admissions team is happy to answer any questions at any time of the application process.

Whilst completing the online application you will be asked to upload supporting documentation. Please have these ready to upload as you complete the application.

• a recent photograph of the applicant
• a copy of the information page of the applicant's passport (showing date of birth and nationality)
• copies of the applicant's school reports/transcripts
• copies of educational or psychological assessments (if applicable).

In addition to the Application form and Health form, ZIS requires supporting documents for each application. Exact requirements vary by grade: you will find customized information about this as you complete the application.

Students applying for entry in the second semester of grade 7 to grade 12, who do not have English as their mother tongue, or have not been using English as their academic language for the past three years, will be asked to complete an English Placement test. Ausfüllen des Anmeldeformulars

Die Aufnahme von Schülern erfolgt nach Maßgabe der verfügbaren Plätze während des laufenden Schuljahres. Anmeldungen werden nicht mehr als zwei Jahre vor dem voraussichtlichen Eintrittsdatum angenommen. Das Aufnahmeteam beantwortet gerne alle Fragen zu jedem Zeitpunkt des Anmeldungsprozesses.

Beim Ausfüllen der Online-Anmeldung werden Sie gebeten, unterstützende Dokumente hochzuladen. Bitte halten Sie diese zum Hochladen bereit, während Sie die Anmeldung ausfüllen.

• ein aktuelles Foto des Antragstellers
• eine Kopie der Ausweisseite des Reisepasses des Antragstellers (mit Angabe des Geburtsdatums und der Nationalität)
• Kopien der Schulzeugnisse/Abschriften des Antragstellers
• Kopien von pädagogischen oder psychologischen Gutachten (falls zutreffend).

Zusätzlich zum Anmeldeformular und Gesundheitsfragebogen braucht die ZIS weitere Unterlagen für jede Anmeldung. Die genauen Anforderungen variieren je nach Klasse: Sie finden dazu individuelle Informationen, wenn Sie die Anmeldung ausfüllen.<

Schüler, die sich für den Eintritt in das zweite Semester der 7. bis 12. Klasse anmelden und Englisch nicht als Muttersprache haben oder in den letzten drei Jahren nicht als Unterrichtssprache hatten, werden gebeten, einen Englisch-Einstufungstest zu absolvieren. Application Review

Once the application is completed, it will be reviewed and evaluated by the campus Principal.

In most cases, this process does not involve an interview with the student. However, in some cases a phone call or in-person meeting with the Principal may be necessary to discuss the application in more depth. The Admissions team will inform you if this is required.

We will also request a teacher recommendation from your child(ren)'s previous school as well as english and maths recommendations for children entering the Middle and Upper Schools.

Prüfung der Anmeldung

Sobald die Anmeldung fertig ausgefüllt ist, wird sie vom Principal des Campus geprüft und beurteilt.

In den meisten Fällen erfordert dieser Prozess kein Gespräch mit dem Schüler. In einigen Fällen kann jedoch ein Telefonat oder ein persönliches Treffen mit dem Principal erforderlich sein, um die Anmeldung eingehender zu besprechen. Das Aufnahmeteam wird Sie informieren, wenn dies erforderlich ist.

Wir werden auch eine Lehrerempfehlung von der vorherigen Schule Ihres/Ihrer Kindes/Kinder anfordern sowie Englisch- und Mathematik Empfehlungen für Kinder, die in die Middle School und Upper School eintreten.<

Application Acceptance

Once the Principal has academically approved the application:

• If space is available the Admissions team will contact you and offer your child a place.
• if space is not available, your child will remain on the waiting list and the team will contact you as soon as a place opens up.

Upon payment of the full Registration Fee (non-refundable), a Confirmation of Acceptance will be emailed to welcome your family to ZIS.

After the acceptance, subjects specific placement test/screening might be required to place a student in the correct level of a course - i.e. mathematics, foreign language and science.

Annahme der Anmeldung

Sobald der Principal den Antrag akademisch genehmigt hat:

• Wird Sie das Aufnahmeteam kontaktieren und Ihrem Kind einen Platz anbieten, sofern ein Platz verfügbar ist,
• Wenn kein Platz verfügbar ist, bleibt Ihr Kind auf der Warteliste und das Team wird Sie kontaktieren, sobald ein Platz frei wird.

Nach Zahlung der vollen Registrierungsgebühr (nicht erstattungsfähig) wird eine Aufnahmebestätigung per E-Mail verschickt, um Ihre Familie an der ZIS willkommen zu heißen.

Nach der Annahme kann ein fachspezifischer Einstufungstest/Screening erforderlich sein, um einen Schüler in das richtige Niveau eines Kurses einzustufen - z.B. Mathematik, Fremdsprache und Wissenschaften.
