This course is an introduction to how Anthropologists think about human society and culture. We learn what makes us human, and how the world’s societies are similar and different. Anthropologists often do this by studying religion, ritual, conflict, media, globalization, and technology. We also learn how to actually do anthropological research by conducting our own ethnographic studies outside of the school. The skills that you develop in things like analysis, critical thinking, and cross-cultural communication are in many careers, including law, business, management, and hospitality.
