AP Calculus BC

Grades: 11 or 12

Subject Area/Course Credit: Mathematics, 1 credit

Prerequisite: A- or above in Pre-Calculus or B or above Integrated Math 2A or teacher recommendation

AP Calculus BC is designed to be the equivalent of both Level I and Level 2 Calculus courses taken at university in the United States and prepares students to take the AP Calculus BC exam in May. The course presupposes a strong grounding in Algebra, Trigonometry and Functions. Differential and integral Calculus are approached analytically, geometrically, numerically and verbally. Parametric, polar, and vector functions, and series are also studied in depth. The specific topics of the course are detailed in the AP Calculus BC course description produced by the College Board.
