At the High Intermediate level, students communicate with fluency and flexibility across a wide range of familiar and researched topics. They engage in extended exchanges and simple discussions, manage misunderstandings, and provide clear explanations, advice, and justification. Students interpret longer and more authentic texts, responding thoughtfully to nuanced ideas and implied meaning. They produce organized multi-sentence texts and short paragraphs, combining ideas across time frames with increased precision and control.
