Integrated Mathematics 2A

Prerequisite: B- or above in Integrated Math 1A or teacher recommendation

Integrated Mathematics 2A is a rigorous mathematics course intended for students who have excelled in mathematics in the past and are highly motivated to take either of the IB Math HL courses or AP Calculus AB in their Grade 11 year. This course assumes a solid base in algebra and knowledge of the basics of geometry. Linear and quadratic algebra is reviewed and expanded upon, and more sophisticated topics such as exponentials, sequences and series, inverses and logarithms are introduced. Principles of trigonometry are extended to their functions, identities, and equations. Other topics such as probability and statistics are extended.
