Year Long Course - Students may only study one language elective.
Requirements: Previous exposure to the language and demonstration of proficiency required. New students will take a short test to confirm placement.
At the Emerging Intermediate level, students communicate with greater independence and increasing spontaneity about familiar topics and everyday situations. They sustain simple conversations, ask follow-up questions, and provide additional detail beyond single responses. Students understand short spoken, written, and multimedia texts and begin to interpret meaning beyond explicit information. They produce connected sentences to share information, narrate experiences, and express opinions with simple supporting details.
