AP Physics C is a course designed to expose the student to a first-year university physics curriculum during the final years of high school. The year-long course is divided into two main sections: Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism. The Mechanics section will be taught during Semester 1 and includes the following topics: Kinematics, Force & Translational Dynamics, Work, Energy & Power, Linear Momentum, Torque & Rotational Dynamics, Energy & Momentum of Rotating Systems, and Oscillations. The Electricity & Magnetism section will be taught during Semester 2 and includes the following topics: Electrostatics, Electric Circuits, Magnetic Fields, and Electromagnetism. Problem solving will be emphasized throughout the entire course using introductory differential and integral calculus to analyze or describe physical situations.
