German A1 is designed for students with little or no knowledge of the German language. The course develops proficiency in the four basic skills of language - listening, speaking, reading and writing. The theme-based units cover such topics as introductions, school and family life, travel, shopping, hobbies, geography, culture and holidays. The grammar objectives include: the present tense, articles and pronouns in nominative, accusative and dative, imperative, and the present perfect. At the end of the course students will be given the opportunity to sit an external examination to receive the European Language certificate corresponding to their current level.
