In this course, students will explore the art of filmmaking, focusing on the essential elements of planning, shooting, editing, and sound design. They will learn to capture video and compose shots through framing and camera movement which enhances the story. Students will discover how to create a detailed shot list covering elements like shot type and angle, camera movement, action and sound. Students will shoot and edit their films on iPads ensuring that the focus of the course is storytelling through cinema rather than having to navigate a lot of unfamiliar technology. Working collaboratively, students will apply all these skills to produce a variety of film projects ready for exhibition, developing both their technical skills and creative vision.
