AP Calculus AB is designed to be the equivalent of a Level I general Calculus course usually taken during the first year of university in the United States and prepares students to take the AP Calculus AB exam in May. The course presupposes a strong grounding in Algebra, Trigonometry and Functions. Differential and integral Calculus are approached analytically, geometrically, numerically and verbally.
