AP Calculus BC Extended (for 2025/26 only)

Subject Area/Course Credit: Mathematics, 1 credit

Prerequisite: Must have a passing grade in AP Calculus AB or a teacher recommendation

AP Calculus BC Extended is designed for students who have previously completed AP
Calculus AB who do not need extensive review of AB material. This year-long course covers
the content equivalent to a second-semester college calculus course and prepares students
to take the AP Calculus BC exam in May. Parametric, polar, and vector functions, and series
are studied in depth as part of the traditional BC course. In addition to the core BC topics,
students will extend their studies into the following areas: further techniques of limits,
derivatives with trigonometric identities, methods of solving differential equations, and more
optimization.
