Prerequisite: Teacher recommendation only

This is a hands-on course which focuses on Science, Design and Technology, and ICT skills progression on an individualised basis. It builds on the existing middle school STEM program with an adapted ASDAN curriculum. Through experiential learning, sensory-based activities, and practical exploration students will develop scientific curiosity, problem-solving, and digital literacy. Students will demonstrate their learning through interactive tasks, recorded observations, and guided discussions. The course emphasizes functional skills, supporting independence and preparing students for further learning and real-world applications.

Each unit is built around a theme that integrates Science, ICT, and Design and Technology, encouraging students to make meaningful connections between disciplines. Core objectives include developing basic scientific inquiry skills, understanding how technology impacts daily life, and fostering creativity through design challenges. Students will work collaboratively on structured projects, including exploring environmental science, designing products and building simple mechanical devices. The course is designed to support basic scientific and technological literacy, increased independence in using digital tools, and to develop problem-solving skills applicable to everyday life.
