Subject Area/Course Credit: Elective, 1 credit

Prerequisite: None

Want to help out with the weekly Lion's Roar news broadcast? Or maybe you would like to learn more about how to write, report, record, and edit for the newsroom. Whether you are a beginner or would like to hone your skills, then this is the elective for you. The Broadcast Journalism Elective is a rigorous program with a focus on writing, reporting, and producing content for the Lion’s Roar, a multimedia news program that covers ZIS student news. Students will work in the field producing news and are expected to ultimately help write, report, and publish their work for the Lion’s Roar. Additionally, students will learn how to use advanced technology and equipment. This class requires committed students who are willing to collaborate with peers and work as a team. It is highly recommended that students who participate in this course are also a part of the Lion’s Roar Club.
